Borussia Düsseldorf's flagship team is the professional team, which will also compete in the 2023/24 season in the Table Tennis Champions League, for the German Table Tennis Cup and as defending champions in the Table Tennis Bundesliga.

With a fabulous 3:1 victory in the TTBL final of the 2022/23 season, Timo Boll, Dang Qiu, Anton Källberg, Kay Stumper and Kamal Achanta defended the German championship title against perennial rivals 1.FC Saarbrücken in front of a great crowd at the CASTELLO in Düsseldorf.For the team from the NRW state capital, it was the 33rd German championship title in history. In 2021, the record champion made a new entry in the history books: Borussia won the fourth triple in the club's history (incidentally, no other German club has ever achieved this across all sports) and the titles 72 to 74. Meanwhile, with the championships in 2022 and 2023, there are even 76 titles.This makes the table tennis record champion one of the three most successful German sports teams alongside FC Bayern München (soccer) and Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 (water polo).

The winning streak of Borussia's wheelchair team is also incredible: they became German team champions for the seventh time in a row in 2023.

In the youth sector, two other Borussia teams also excelled in 2023. The girls U15 and the boys U19 celebrated further German championship titles for the club from Düsseldorf.

Borussia Düsseldorf is very committed to amateur and youth sports: seven men's teams, four women's teams, one girls' team and nine school and youth teams play for the club in 2022/23 in a wide range of leagues. From the women's 3rd Bundesliga to the men's Kreisklasse, 381 members (as of July 2022) are organized in the club.

The first women's team achieved something very special in the 2021/22 season, when they were able to celebrate promotion to the third highest division. With two absolute top players, the experienced Ugne Baskutyte and the only 15-year-old Eireen Kalaitzidou, they mastered the challenges of the regional league and could successfully apply for the 3rd league. But also the young talents could shine: The girls and boys in the U13 age group both secured the West German Team Championship. The female youth 15 did the same, but went one better by winning the German championship.

Borussia is also highly active in disabled sports: the team in the first German Wheelchair League won the German championship for the seventh time in a row in the 2021/22 season and the standing disabled team also took the title. In the "pedestrians", Borussia is once again entering the new season with three teams. Visually impaired athletes will also find a place at Borussia to enjoy the best sport in the world at the showdown table and compete with other teams in the second Bundesliga.

Since 1988, Borussia Düsseldorf has also organized the andro Kids Open (formerly the Children's Table Tennis Olympics) - Europe's largest children's and youth tournament, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019.

Until the Corona pandemic, up to 1,500 kids competed in this mammoth tournament every year in August. Youngsters aged 6-17 determined their winners in several age categories at around 80 tables. There is no other tournament for young table tennis players in Europe that can be compared to the Kids Open! In 2020 and 2021 the andro Kids Open took place in the framework of the home summer and with many "Corona" adjustments and significantly fewer participants. After a slightly smaller edition in 2022, the tournament will again be very well attended with 900 participants after a long period of restrictions. Borussia Düsseldorf is doing everything it can to ensure that the tournament in August 2023 will once again be a complete success.

Since 1994, the club has had its own table tennis center, which houses a sports hotel, the multiple sports hall ARAG CenterCourt and the andro table tennis school. Borussia is also heavily involved in social activities, including projects such as "Borussia hilft", "SingPong", "Bunt gehts rund", the "Tischtennis-Pausenkönig" and "Düsseldorf spielt Tischtennis".
